Multimedia Unit for pupils following the BGE course in Computing Science. This is a great precursor to the National 4 and 5 courses as it teaches them about various parts of those courses such as, Data and Information and Standard File formats for Text, Graphics, Sound and Video.
It meets both level 3 and 4 of the Experiences and Outcomes and the Significant Aspects of Learning and will link to the Benchmarks that are coming soon.
The pupils use the notes to help them with the theory based tasks, but it is always good to start with a discussion of what Multimedia, Data, Information and Knowledge actually mean.
