Lesson 1: Use of connectives concentrating on 'because'. Includes mnemonic which could be printed out for display. Show faces of 'Harry' with different emotions. Why is he feeling like this. Orally think of sentences - Harry was feeling happy because... Next children write sentences about children on their own table in a similar way.
Lesson 2: This time children are shown pictures of places - London, the moon, the zoo etc. They write similar sentences about other children but this time use more connectives, e.g. Maria went to the zoo when it was her birthday.
