This is one of the best resources I have ever designed! It follows the story of Dr Daniel Hayles and starts with an anonymous letter sent to your students…they come to lesson not knowing what is about to happen! On their desks is a simple box or envelope per group…they must use their problem solving skills to the fullest in this intriguing and absorbing task. They will look at forensic Physics, Linear Dynamics, code deciphering, IT and logical problem solving.
The students are Dr Hayles’ best hope…can your students do it!
Physics covered: Principle of Momentum and energy, ballistic pendula, speed and forensic drag factors and circular motion.
Mathematics covered: Mechanics, formulae manipulation, bifid and Mexican Army Cipher Discs deciphering.
