This video shows you how to make a tartouillat, a speciality from the Burgundy region of France. The video is in simple French to aid with learning the vocabulary for the ingredients, equipment and method. The recipe can also be downloaded as a PDF which includes a table for translating the key words.
At Maison Claire Fontaine we run week long French language immersion experiences for UK schools. We are based in the rural French hamlet of Méluzien which is near to the town of Avallon in Burgundy. We are about 2.5 hours south of Paris. This recipe is one that we do with children who come to stay with us as part of a Maison Claire Fontaine ‘bake off’ challenge.
