Resource based on the edexcel 2016 spec (9-1) aimed at a lower ability year 10 group but can work for others as well. I did this over two lessons as the practical took some time
Starter- Simple starter naming types of energy
Main: Brief discussion about non renewable energy and how power stations work then pupils used the edexcel worksheet to build a working turbine. I have also included some differentiated worksheets (A3 size) I used for a slightly different lesson which you may wish to adapt.
In the second lesson We then looked at changing trend in fuel use. The graph on the powerpoints was printed off in colour and pupils answered questions off the powerpoint. Then pupils used the edexcel task sheets and tasks off the board to complete.
