A two lesson introduction to crime vocabulary, designed to develop peer discussion and encourage students to share their opinions.
Resources includes a vocabulary starter, a creative writing planner for homework, a crime sorting task, a short reading activity (Oscar Wilde) and a peer interview task.
In the follow up lesson, the focus is on peer feedback for their creative writing homework, a chance to develop an equipment list (to add details to their writing/ story plan or presentation)
This leads up to their spoken language assessment for the ‘Detectives’ paper (ELC - AQA)
