CVC Sentence Pyramids for Reading Fluency

Are you looking for fun CVC pyramid sentences or sentence ladders to encourage reading fluency? These printable phonics resources are great for early reading CVC words. They are designed for EYFS students to practice how to decode, blend and read in engaging ways.

The pyramid sentences can be used during lessons, in literacy centres, as independent work, as homework assignments, in tuff trays, for Home Education, supply lessons or as extra reading practice.
Students can work individually to read and write the sentences.
They can also use the blank templates to make up their own pyramid sentences and share them with their peers.

Differentiation is easy - use the easier words (only CVC) or add in other words - CVCC, CCVC, CCVCC, high-frequency words, or sight words, such as ”the”, to make it more of a challenge.
