CVC word building race car theme

This resource was used as part of a phonics session.
It is fab to use in the classroom and for online teaching as it so so engaging. There are 2 parts- the animated CVC word building activity with sound which shows a range of CVC words. This PowerPoint activity focuses on blending CVC words. On each slide as each letter appears students say the sound it makes. As the car drives past blend and say the word the sounds make. On the next slide check the picture to see if you were correct.The car moves to indicate for the students to blend the words.
The high frequency word building task- The students can move the letters to the word box to build the word. The teacher can cover the high frequency words with a post it note animation of the slide.
