Your middle/high school students have heard lectures and lessons on the dangers of sexting and sending nudes. When it comes to risky behavior that often includes lots of peer pressure, it’s more effective to SHOW the consequences, not just tell. Here’s how! This 2-day mock trial on the consequences of sexting uses real-life case studies, information on state laws (if you are not in the USA, there is a Google version that is editable for you) and teaches an impactful lesson on why it’s ALWAYS unsafe to send intimate photos to ANYONE.

Let’s break down the mock trial:

There are 5 roles:

Emma (distributor of the photo)
Jack (sender of the photo)
Judge
Psychologist
Community members

Day 1: They get into groups and, using the worksheets, research and prepare for the mock trial.

Day 2: The mock trial takes around 45-60 minutes and is completely student-led.
