This is an activity to practice vocabulary for furniture and prepositions as well as the use of the dative.
Pupils are provided with pictures of pieces of furniture and 14 spiders (all to be individually cut out) as well as a sentence builder diagram.
Task: Stick the furniture on a piece of paper, and the spider on, next to, in, under, between, near… it. Then write a sentence to describe the picture, e.g. “Die Spinne ist unter dem Bett.”
(I suppose you can swop the spider for a kitten…)
