Students learn the difference between showing and telling the reader in descriptions of characters. They start by identifying ways a telling description is weak and a showing description is strong. Then they create their own showing phrases from telling ones provided. Eventually, they watch a YouTube clip and use it to describe a character using showing phrases.
I just paid for and downloaded this resource only to find that the character descriptions included are highly unsuitable for use in Key stage Two. They describe a woman in a very sexist and inappropriate way!! Is this a joke?

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to review this lesson. I was quite surprised when you mentioned its unsuitability for KS2 classes as I don't tend to upload resources for that Key Stage - I am a high school teacher therefore all my resources are tailored to that age range; not sure how I labelled this as KS2 so you have my apologies there. I have since reviewed the materials and have re-labelled them as suitable for KS3 and 4 in light of your observations. Please accept my apologies again and many thanks for drawing this to my attention.
