Designing a sporting event

This is a project to help students plan and design their own sporting event in their local area. Students were required to present their idea to the 'committee' at the end of the project, as if they were pitching the idea to actually run the event. RAG resource for filling in a bus timetable has also been included, but this will need adapting to the area around your school. The information on the 'venues' will also need adapting.

Students had the choice between doing a power point presentation, a poster or both and worked in pairs throughout the whole project. The mark scheme has been attached with space to give two positives and an area for development to each student once they have presented their ideas.

It encompasses a few areas of maths, so is a good project to do perhaps at the end of a term/ year.
