This resource contains a PowerPoint which fully explains how to work out differences in time for 24 hour clocks. It uses a scaffolded approach starting from comparing times within the same hour to comparing times differences between hours. It contains a relevant basic skills starter session (missing number problems and using the inverse operation to solve these), two worksheets and a differentiated group activity linked to my mathematical villain, Dr Doom!
This worked really well with my class and produced some super work. The children found the final activity particularly fun and the feedback they gave me was extremely positive! It has been differentiated meaning it is suitable for all learners.
