Perfect for back to school in 5th grade, this engaging challenge will help with team building and also review major 4th grade math skills. Start with a hook video that will get your students excited and give them the back story to the challenge. This resource includes two options for use: Google Forms/Quiz or OneNote.
The best part? You don't have to buy any extra materials or supplies, and the only prep needed is limited printing (Hint cards, badges & signs, answer key, and paper versions of the questions are all provided - you decide what you print). This resource is not editable but you control the countdown timing.
Once students access the file via Forms or OneNote they will answer 10 4th grade math questions on the following topics:
- Rounding to thousands
- Multiplication
- Estimating a 2-digit x 2-digit product
- Interpreting remainders
- Equivalent fractions
- Perimeter
- Writing as a decimal
- Multiplying a whole number by a mixed number
- Converting fluid ounces to pints
- Elapsed time
Please note: multiple devices that can access Google Forms or OneNote are required. Both options are easy to learn even with no background knowledge, however be aware that there are no directions for using Google Forms or OneNote itself except for specific features that are required for this challenge (such as passwords on the OneNote sections).
