Lessons are designed to grab the attention of teen students with relevant and up-to-date pop culture starters as well as developing literary, comprehension and creative skills. Lessons are differentiated with a range of activities e.g. starter sentences, scaffolds and extension activities. Texts are carefully chosen to develop inference, discussion and exam skills. It’s self-explanatory, low on photocopying and ideal for a series of cover lessons. Most lessons can be used stand alone but they are designed to build on reading and analysis, building up to an extended piece of writing for assessment.
