Any reference to a textbook is to the course textbook: Revolutions in early modern and modern europe.
This should take approximately 2 hours to teach.
Pupils start with a a recap crossword about the first sub unit and a half of the Edexcel Russia topic (answers are included). Pupils are then introduced to Stolypin by video, and create a timeline using this and the textbook, analysing impact as they go (answers on the powerpoint). Pupils then have a discussion plenary.
The second lesson focusses on Stolypins agricultural landholdings, emigration to Siberia and the Lena Goldfields massacre, with a variety of activities including: a video, a post it task, textbook questions and comic strips. This is then concluded with an interactive freeze frame activity.
