Starter: groups presented with 4 images, printable from power-point. Students to make inferences about sources and pose possible questions they want to find out over the course of the lessons. This will be returned to at end of lessons to see how they can make supported inferences or test knowledge and see if they can now answer questions.
Main involved a crime scene style exercise: Groups are given a set of cut up sources which are printable from the power-point. To find connections between sources then try to determine key features and results of the plot. A grid sheet is used to collate information which is printable from the slide. Here, students could use additional textbooks to support information in the sources.
Demonstrate learning is in form of 4 mark describe question with mark-scheme.
Plenary is back to initial pictorial sources refereed to earlier.
