A useful revision tool - personalised learning checklist for Edexcel GCSE Computer Science 9-1 Spec 2016.
PLC is a tool recommended by Pixl for sixth form learning and I have decided to use a similar tool for my GCSE Computer Science curriculum delivery.
My summer'17 results improved significantly after I gave PLC to my students. You can print the spec which I did in the previous year but students can't see through mountains of text. I have better learning conversation with my student where they can pinpoint easily the areas they are not feeling so secure which I can then identify.
More user-friendly than if you were to print directly from the spec. There are additional prompts so that the students can see clearly what they need to know. A great tool for learning and revision.
My students have found this personalised checklist very useful and my GCSE group has achieved a tremendous result, above national average for the subject and school average. With 59% A*-A, 86% A*-B, 100% A*-C, I truly believe that this PLC helps.
I have made PLCs using similar format for another qualification and so far, have received more than 200 downloads.
