As pupils prepare for Paper 2 on Friday, 8th November 2024, I’d like to offer some additional guidance to support your revision. Please remember that no one can predict with certainty what topics will appear on Paper 2, so a comprehensive review of all material remains crucial. However, I’ve compiled the following resources to help focus your preparation:
Topics covered in Paper 1: This list will remind you of the areas that have already been assessed. While there’s a chance some topics could reappear, they are less likely to be prominent in Paper 2.
Likely topics for Paper 2: Based on Paper 1 and typical topic distribution, I have put together a list of areas that have a higher probability of appearing in Paper 2. Topics like simultaneous equations, transformations, compound interest, and circle theorems, among others, are suggested focus areas.
Predicted practice paper: This paper, with its mark scheme, mirrors the structure and content we might expect. Working through it will give you targeted practice, particularly on the topics most likely to appear.
This guidance is a supplement to your full revision of the IGCSE Maths syllabus, so ensure you cover all areas. I wish you the best of luck with your revision.
