Powerpoint framework that uses midget gems and cocktail sticks to build sequences of patterns and works towards algebraic notation and nth term. Great for maths discussions. Its a bit 'in development' as it use the midget gems and cocktail sticks - I may simplify to one variable. H&S - cocktail sticks are sharp, wear eye protection and check your chair before you sit. Most midget gems are NOT vegetarian safe, read out the labels to the class.

This resource provides an interesting way of teaching sequences that is designed to be fun, engaging and a little bit different. Students are encouraged to create patterns using Midget Gems and cocktail sticks, and there is a task where students have to build as large a tower as possible using repeated patterns. A nice end of term lesson!
