Editable Phonics Word Games and Activities

**Five editable games and activities for teaching high frequency words, topic words or other words of your choice. Simply type your 10 words (up to 11 letters long) into the word list at the beginning and they will automatically be inserted into every game and activity! LOW-PREP and endless fun!

Included are:**

• Sandcastle Sprint board game (in colour and B+W), instructions, playing pieces & die – make your way around the board, saying the words as you go! Who will be first to reach the sandcastle?

• Words, Waves & Other Things game (in colour and B+W) - search for and read tiny high frequency words in the beach picture, using a magnifying glass. Children could make a list of the words which they find and compete to find the most!

• Roll and read game (in colour and B+W) - roll the die and read the words in the matching column.

• High frequency word spinners (in colour and B+W) - spin the spinner and read the high frequency word.

• Countdown game (in colour and B+W) – how many high frequency words can the children read in 1 minute?

**To edit, download the PDF to your computer and then open the PDF in the latest version of Adobe Reader. Next click on the text boxes in ‘Your Word List’ and enter your high frequency words. Only the text is editable, not the images! **
