I have put together a list of essential vocabulary for children to learn in preparation for their 11+ test.
The list contains the word, its word class, the definition and some synonyms. There are also a range of questions with answers to support vocabulary development.
I am an 11+ tutor and I have examined many different 11+ resources to compile this list. I have noticed during sessions, that children find vocabulary sections quite tricky if they have not been exposed to the higher level vocabulary. This list will enable them to learn new words and their definitions and then apply this knowledge to the 11+ tests and even their school work.
