One lesson that teaches students how to make calculations on belt and pulley drive systems, using pulley diameters, velocity ratio, mechanical advantage, input/output rotational speeds.
Lesson includes two powerpoints - one with answers and the other without.
Students will be able to develop knowledge of this topic and embed their learning through completing the worksheet powerpoint questions.
Recommend use of Hodder’s AQA GCSE (9-1) Engineering Textbook and/or Revision Notes. Alternatively, the internet may be used.
Also recommend using Numeracy in Engineering worksheets by Attainment in Education to get ready for the various calculation questions.
