One or two lessons that introduce students to structural systems that include space frames, monocoque, semi-monocoque. It discusses triangulation and forces acting in frame structures. There is also an optional bridge building practical challenge that can be completed over two or three lessons. Includes one powerpoint lesson and a word worksheet - plus answers.
Students will be able to develop knowledge of this topic and embed their learning through completing the worksheet word document questions.
Recommend use of Hodder’s AQA GCSE (9-1) Engineering Textbook (page numbers reference included in resources) and/or Revision Notes. Alternatively, the internet may be used.
