These resources have been designed for Entry Level 3 students working towards Functional Skills English qualifications at Level 1 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, AQA, Highfield Qualifications, NOCN, Open Awards). It contains a 90-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 31-page workbook on punctuation.
These resources will help pupils to use a range of punctuation correctly - full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, commas and apostrophes for possession and contraction.
PowerPoint Lesson
The editable PowerPoint lesson clearly explains when and how to use full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, commas and apostrophes for possession and contraction. It also contains a link to a video on punctuation. The PowerPoint is ideal for introducing the punctuation component of the specification and for revision purposes.
Workbook
The 31 page workbook includes 6 information pages, 20 punctuation tasks and 3 progress checks. The workbook is provided in PDF and an editable PowerPoint version. It can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
