Using the QCA guidelines, this worksheet takes students through the criteria for a Grade 2, then a Grade 5 and then a Grade 8. The worksheet has extracts of answers at each grade focused on language analysis, structural analysis and evaluation of the writer's skill. The sheet also asks the student to consider how to move from one to the other and to set targets. This will help the student to understand how to succeed in the English Language examination.
