A four week (or longer) scheme of work that is inspired by the theme of equality and justice. Every 3 lessons a new type of inequality is explored (race, gender, class, education), while looking at a different English skill. It is ready to teach, or can be adapted to your personal teaching style. This scheme of work can used used as a baseline test for students skills, a recap of English skills, or filler between units.
What is included:
- 12 lessons (some can be extended over two or more lessons).
- Unit overview and notes about each lesson.
- A range of different activities: research, quizzes, peer assessment, extended writing, group work, spelling tests, videos, etc.
- Challenge tasks on most slides.
- Differentiation - bronze/silver/gold, sentence starters, etc.
- Teacher notes where appropriate.
- Handouts included at the end of each PowerPoint.
