A lesson that can be used for a variety of different subjects, that aims to increase cultural awareness amongst students as well as helping their literacy. Can be tailored for any year group. Includes:
- a video on the top 10 festivals in Europe and an exercise set at 3 different tiers, students must use inference skills thereby
- a comprehension exercise on a festival of their choice in either Italy or Britain. They can then share the answers with their peers.
- a chance for the students to create their own festival, demonstrating their understanding of cultural/religious importance etc
