This starter requires students to match expressions on the right with expressions on the left. 3 from each side do not match up and they must write these in the empty cells at the bottom. I have deliberately avoided the word factorising as that is what we were moving onto that day.

Great resource. I tweaked it so that they have to write down the matching expressions for the missing pairs.
Just what I needed. A simple homework to reinforce the lesson. Thanks.
A good way to disguise a lot of expanding brackets questions, and to sneakily link to factorising as well!
