This lesson and supporting materials explore the idea of myths in fiction through the tale of Atlantis. Students use their QAR and Before, During and After reading strategy skills to read and comprehend a piece of writing and a video regarding the question, Atlantis: Fact or Fiction? Students then move onto writing about myths, using their knowledge and understanding from exploring Atlantis, to write creatively about the island of Krakatoa.
