This resource considers four factors that effect the rate of an enzyme-catalysed reaction: temperature, pH, concentration of enzyme, and concentration of substrate. This resource includes enough information and visual aids to fill 2 or 3 lessons. When I teach this topic, my students carry out a simple experiment, looking at the rate of hydrogen peroxide decomposition, to provide experimental evidence for the effect of pH and temperature on enzyme (catalase) activity.
