GCSE cross curriculur activity. With the 30th anniversary of the conflict this task takes a look at the bombing raid on Port Stanley which was at the time the longest bombing raid ever mounted. A feat of logistics, over 1,000,000 litres of fuel were needed to get the single plane to bomb the runway. This task looks at the timing of the planes refuelling the bomber in a simplistic representation of what actually happened. Speed, distance and time are all involved - hopefully will raise students' interest in the conflict.
