February reading challenge - Year 5/6

This is a February reading challenge which I give my class of Year 5 and 6 children monthly. The challenge has a mini-activity for the children to do daily [not weekends] to do with reading. Activities range from simple reading [read for 25 minutes undisturbed] to more fun activities such as 'tell your neighbour 8 facts about the book you are reading'. The children in my class love the reading challenge and it has seen a positive impact in getting them reading! I give each child a book and they collect evidence of the challenges through the month. If the children complete the month, they receive a certificate and a small prize.
