This 18 lesson KS5 unit explores a collection of poems by Carol Ann Duffy, Emily Dickinson and Margaret Atwood. The unit uses both teacher led analysis and independent tasks to access the poets’ work and help students to develop their analytical skills for poetry. Originally planned for use with the IB Language A: Literature course, the unit has references to TOK-style questions which are useful for delving into literary study regardless of course of study and explores each poet under a literary area of exploration.
