Story writing is an essential part of English writing skills. Learners should write a new story based on the text given in the exam including all the elements of the story: setting, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution. They need to plan for a few minutes before writing the story. In most Cambridge proression tests, students are required to continue writing a story (beginning or context is provided).
Sometimes learners are expected to write the beginning of the story too.
