This is a resource that can be used for all ages at Secondary . ( Laminate the sheets so they last longer) The students work in teams of 4, 5 or 6 and wear bibs.
They have a lesson to burn the meal they are given ( curry/ Mc Donalds, Pizza Hut). There is a Rules sheet and an exercise chart . The Exercise chart gives calories for each exercise. ( these are not accurate and are easy to add up) They record their calories as they go along and see how many calories as a team they can burn in the lesson. They choose their strongest exercise and if you have machines, you can restrict how many from the team can use machines at once. It really makes them work hard and very few manage it !
