This is the 4th in a series of lessons about Key Muslim beliefs and the Five Pillars of Islam. It is written for Year Five but easily adaptable. We start by listening to the call to prayer and wondering what it is about. We then share what we already know about prayer and which of these are relevant for Muslim prayer. We explore in depth why Muslims pray and attempt to prioritise these in order of importance. We look at a map and consider the sense of praying as a worldwide community. We investigate prayer mats and reflect on times which we may have prayed ourselves. Feedback welcome.

Thank you for sharing. I really liked the questions you got the children to think about
