Thank you for viewing this resource!
About a year ago, I had a couple of Year 10 girls who were almost driven to tears each time the word 'fraction' was mentioned. Everything about the topic just confused them. They had obviously missed, or at least misunderstood, some very key concepts from earlier on in their studies. Due to the amount of work that needed to be covered to catch them up, I decided to make this self-help guide for them to do in their free time.
The results were a resounding success. They were right back up to scratch within a couple of weeks of going through this guide. Even if you weren't to hand this out 'as-is', hopefully there are a few ideas in there that might make you think about alternative ways to demonstrate the concepts from first principles.
Thank you once again for looking, and I hope you enjoy this resource!
