This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning about French Festivals. The lesson teaches the class about six festivals e.g. Bastille Day. There is the French word for each festival, a little bit of information in English and two more French phrases linked to the festival. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer unit on France.
The plan gives details of a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a reading activity, a drawing task, a speaking activity and plenary whole class game. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
Resources needed for the lesson are included in the price. They are in the zip file and are:
- Lesson Plan - 4 pages (PDF)
- An animated PowerPoint presentation - 11 pages (This is not editable. Please click ‘Read Only’ to open.)
- Resource for the starter - 2 pages (PDF)
