There’s a core set of 25 items for this topic: la chambre, le salon, la cuisine, la salle à manger, la salle de bains, l’armoire, la baignoire, le canapé, la chaise, la clôture, la douche, l’escalier, l’étagère, le fauteuil, la fenêtre, la lampe, le lit, la machine à laver, le miroir, l’ordinateur, la porte, la table, la télévision, les tiroirs, les toilettes. Additional vocabulary is also introduced for those classes or students requiring additional challenge, including rooms such as le sous-sol and le grenier.
Interactive games included in the presentation:
- 10 rounds of Hangman spelling game
- 2 rounds of Hexagons (teams compete to translate topic vocab and make a path through the grid)
- 12-round Reveal the Picture game, where teams translate vocab to reveal mystery pictures linked to the topic. The mystery pictures are deliberately distorted to make it more challenging and fun!
Many slides in the original PowerPoint version feature answers that appear when you click, for students to respond. While the PDF version does not retain the ability to reveal answers by clicking, it will help you teach this topic if you don’t have PowerPoint where you work.
