French problem solving / logic puzzle - perfect for use around Halloween

This is a logic puzzle activity for learners of German at any age or stage. Logic puzzles not only help to exercise the brain, they also further the development of learners’ deduction skills, critical thinking ability and strategy skills. If working together, students will also use and grow their communication skills.

Please bear in mind that like most logic puzzles, this one also contains a stage at the end, when students will need to try various final steps to establish the status which meets the requirements of each and every clue in the game. This puzzle is not impossible to resolve. There is a solution sheet for the teacher. I would therefore suggest you try this puzzle out first if you have time as this will help you determine if and how to support your students with further clues without giving away the solution.

One of the files included in this pack contains suggestions for use and differentiation of this resource with learners of all language abilities. A German version of this document is also included for my German-speaker colleagues who teach French too.
