Work Book 1 PESKY SEAGULLS focus on reading an article based on the growing Seagull problem in the UK and requires learners to demonstrate English and ICT skills that subtly embeds many of the Functional skills required for assessment.

Work Book 2 FOOTBALLERS WAGES focuses on the ongoing debate of Footballer wages and how much they earn compared with other occupations. Tasks include reading through an example of an online forum, leaving their own post, replying to other members comments and then answering a series of question based on the whole forums content.

Work Book 3 FIZZY DRINKS focuses on reading an article based on the growing issue of fizzy drink consumption in the UK and worldwide and requires learners to demonstrate various English and ICT abilities.
Please Note: There are various spelling and grammar mistakes in the Fizzy Drinks article that have been placed intentionally for the purpose of the first 2 tasks. Answers for these tasks are included in the resource on the last page.
