The unit supports Level 2, English - Functional Skills and contains two writing questions, a writing frame, a model answer, a reading paper with an answer key.

The writing question prompt requires students to write an email to propose ideas to change lunchtime arrangements in an organisation. To help students structure their ideas a writing frame is provided. There is another writing question with a model answer.

Based on the topic of homelessness a reading practice paper is included. It contains an answer key to mark the paper.

The unit is effective in supporting students improve their writing and reading skills to pass Functional Skill, English.
