GCSE Art and Design based on the starting point ‘Human Condition’ lessons for one half term: 18 to 21 lessons (3 lessons a week x 6/7 weeks).
This body of lessons can be used at the start of the year 10 course in september or January.
This body of lessons introduces dry media artists and skills: pencil, biro, fine liner, crayon, charcoal and graphite. Looking at past and contemporary portraiture artists: Augustus John, Mark Powell, Fred Hatt, Mary Jane Ansell, Alan Coulson, Cath Riley and Kathe Kolwitz.

Each lesson slide includes lesson objectives, lesson intentions, keywords, past, present, and next lesson criterias. Class reading, information on artist, Blooms Taxonomy, past GCSE students artwork examples and ‘spaced retrieval’ slides to be completed in silence during class registration.

My second powerpoint on here can be used after this powerpoint from October or february half terms teaching wet media artists and skills. These artists and media experimentation then can be used to influence the GCSE student’s final pieces; mixed media paintings.
