Acids, Alkalis and Indicators GCSE Lesson (SC8a CC8a)
This bundle meets all specification points needed to teach Topic 8 “Acids and Alkalis” from the Edexcel GCSE 9-1 Combined Science and Chemistry courses. It starts off gently, focusing on key facts and word equations, then builds to include balanced equations and ionic equations.
The bundle includes nine full lesson PowerPoints and associated resources, plus my overview and equipment lists for all Year 10 and Year 11 Combined & Triple Science.
Having delivered this to many classes, my suggested teaching order is: Acids, Alkalis and Indicators; pH and Acid Strength (Higher only), Reactions of Acids, Balanced Equations for Acid Reactions, Investigating Neutralisation, Preparing Copper Sulphate, Titrations, Solubility and Precipitates (two lessons).
I have many other GCSE lessons and bundles available so please check out my shop, OnSpecScience.
