Please note, this resource is designed for the OLD SPEC (2014-2016) WJEC English Language Higher GCSE Unit 2. However, it could prove useful for any comprehension and writing exam. I am selling a revision guide for the NEW 2017 WJEC Unit 2 exam separately.
This resource consists of 8 pages (including a title page) and it is designed to be used in conjunction with the students own work and notes from school/college/other (for example, I use it with my students in conjunction with reading and writing example answers provided by WJEC's public website). The 'Revision' section covers many aspects of English revision including reminders for techniques, tricky spellings and vocabulary. The 'In the Exam' section covers time, length of answers, planning, content etc.
Please note: The preview shown by Tes on the right does not do the resource justice - for example, the Revision sections includes tasks/details such as:
List all of the techniques and features you should try to use for each format, e.g. for speeches you should try to include: Repetition, anecdotes, statistics, rhetorical questions, memorable phrases, humour, controversial statements and an appropriate tone.
As a qualified and experienced GCSE tutor and examiner, I wrote this resource myself.
This resource has always proven popular with my students and their revision for this challenging exam.
If you choose to buy this resource then please leave me a review.
I designed the resource on Pages but saved it as a Word Doc - please let me know if there are any issues with the format of the document.
Many thanks.
