GCSE Geography Case Study: The River Tees (River Management)

This resource is designed for a GCSE Geography class. The learning objectives of the lesson are:

1. To learn about the river basin management of the River Tees
2. To learn about the human activity around the River Tees

The lesson has a number of activities including:
A keyword wordsearch starter, slides on Cow Green Reservoir (and Dam), the Yarm Floodgates, the Mandale Loop and the Tees Barrage. There are also slides on human activity including fishing, watersports and industry. This lesson was designed to help students to create mind-map about the various strategies and activities. This mind-map could be completed on an A3 sheet of paper - or in their books - and they use the information from each slide.
