This unit is based on Edexcel GCSE History of Medicine book. Its content is enriched by adding many pictures, photos and diagrams to make it more accessible to all ability pupils. This unit is about the improvement in medical treatment in 20th Century: the development of 'magic bullets', works of Alexander Fleming (penicillin), Selman Waksman (streptomycin), development of new antibiotics and stages of drug testing. There are few links to YouTube videos, that cover the content of the lesson.
