Comes with a slightly kinaesthetic building of a cube and a pyramid activity then measuring the cube or pyramid they've built and calculating areas and volumes.

This is a great resource in which students make a net of a cuboid and square based pyramid, they then use this net to calculate the surface area and volume. This is really helpful for lower ability students since they have to model to help them see how many faces the 3d shapes have. This would make a really nice lesson, there are extension questions too for some extra challenge. Thank you for sharing.
