Hello,
I am a teacher and personal tutor and this is one of the 6 topic areas I have created for OCR GCSE Psychology specification J203.
I have designed this scheme of work to be completed in one year so each PowerPoint covers one week or two lessons which can be divided over 2 weeks if the course is being taught over 2 years. I have also included a PowerPoint outlining independent or homeworks that can be completed each week. In addition to this I have also added extra independent learning tasks in order to stretch and challenge more able students.
I have designed this using the OCR GCSE (9-1) Psychology text book by Billingham and Kitching
I have a degree in Psychology and am a qualified teacher (QTS). I have taught Psychology at GCSE and A Level for 18 years. I have also worked as an examiner for AQA for the past 15 years. As well as this I have tutored many students who have gone on to do extremely well in their exams and future endeavours!
I have taught in a number institutions including comprehensive schools, independent colleges and grammar schools as well as working as a personal tutor for revision and home school students. This has given me experience working with students from all backgrounds and levels of ability.
The key to success in education is not just your level of intelligence but also your ability to stay motivated, focused, confident and positive! I am also a qualified Empowerment Coach and believe that incorporating this knowledge into my lessons also helps students with their over all emotional and mental health and wellbeing!
The course is so interesting, interactive and fun I have tried to incorporate this into each lesson. I hope you find it as enjoyable to teach as I do!
